# Delete your Marrow account

Open Settings in the Marrow app, tap Delete my account, type DELETE and confirm. Everything Marrow holds for you on every channel is removed at once, and backup copies fall out within 30 days. You can also ask by email.

This page is for users of the Marrow app, published by usemarrow.com on the App Store and Google Play, and of the Marrow Telegram bot. Deleting the account deletes the data; there is no separate request to make.

## From the app

1. Open Marrow and go to the Settings tab.
2. Under Account, tap "Delete my account".
3. Type DELETE in the box and tap "Delete everything".

The account and everything in it are removed at once, on every channel: the app, Telegram and the web view, since they are one account.

## From the web view

Open Marrow's web view from the Telegram chat (the Open Marrow button), go to Settings, and use "Delete my account" in the same way.

## By email

Write to hello@usemarrow.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my account", or send /support from the Telegram chat you use with Marrow saying the same. We confirm by email before deleting, so that nobody can delete your account by pretending to be you (if your account has no email address, the bot asks for one when you send /support), and then delete it within 30 days of your confirmation.

## What is deleted

Every person, company, interaction, note, follow up, deal and life event in your record; the conversation history on every channel; the photos and transcripts kept for the chat; your devices and their push tokens; your settings and your account itself. A proposal already approved into Marrow's permanent test set, with names, companies, contact details and amounts replaced, stays, and no longer points at your account.

## If you pay, or you are on a team

- **A subscription.** Deleting your account cancels every subscription it holds, personal or team, at the payment provider, so nothing more is charged; the deletion itself refunds nothing, and the refund terms on the [Terms](/terms) page apply as to any cancellation.
- **You bought a Teams plan.** The team's subscription is cancelled with your account. Your members keep their own accounts and go back to their own trial or their own subscription, and the team page and its invite links stop working, so you may want to tell them first.
- **You are a member of a team.** Your account is deleted like any other, your seat no longer counts as in use on the buyer's team page, and while the team's subscription is active the buyer gets a fresh invite link for it. Nothing of yours stays with the buyer, who only ever saw your email address.

## What stays, and for how long

Backup copies fall out as the backups rotate, within 30 days. Quality review samples taken from your conversations, with personal details already replaced, are deleted with the account. The messages in your Telegram chat with the bot stay in Telegram until you delete that chat yourself. Payment records stay for as long as tax and accounting rules require; they hold the state of a subscription, not your record. A list you shared stops being shared, and a list you exported to a Google spreadsheet stays in your Google account until you delete it there. Error records with your account id are deleted with the account; the servers' operating logs, which carry your account id, are kept for up to 30 days. Aggregated usage numbers contain no content and no identifier.

## Export first, if you want a copy

Tap Export everything in the app's Settings, send /export on Telegram or open Export in the web view for everything as a file, or ask Marrow in the Telegram chat for a contacts file. You can also write to hello@usemarrow.com before deleting and we send you the file. Deletion cannot be undone.

The [Privacy](/privacy) page says what Marrow collects and who processes it; [Support](/support) has the address for anything else.
