# Which personal CRM app fits you

As of 15 October 2026, Dex, Mesh, Covve, folk, Monica and Orvo each lead somewhere: syncing, scanning, teams or self hosting. Marrow, in Beta, is built for capture from a voice note, card or screenshot, with lookups and research.

A personal CRM keeps the people you know, what you said to them and what you owe them. This post reads six apps on their own pages on 15 October 2026 and says where each is strongest. Marrow is the seventh.

## Where each is strongest, and what it costs

| App | Strongest at | Price as listed |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Dex | Email, calendar and messaging sync, with mobile, web and desktop apps | Premium "$12/month billed annually" or "$20/month billed monthly"; a 6-day trial that needs a card |
| Mesh | A plan listed as "Free" "with credit card" for up to 1000 contacts that imports from email and calendar and shows job changes | Pro listed at "$10" "/ month" in the default view; a 14-day trial of Pro |
| Covve | Business card and QR scanning, offline, in 60+ languages; badge scanning comes with Pro | Essential "$12" "/seat/mo" or "$119" "/seat/yr"; Pro "$20" "/seat/mo" or "$199" "/seat/yr"; a free trial |
| folk | A CRM priced per member, with "Pipeline management", enrichment, AI assistants and sync | Standard "$24" per member a month billed yearly, "$30" billed monthly; a 2 week trial, no card |
| Monica | Open source, with unlimited contacts, notes and reminders | Hosted "$9 USD per month or $90 USD per year"; self hosting "$0"; a 30 day trial |
| Orvo | Email and calendar sync with AI meeting preparation | Pro "$19/mo", billing period not stated; a 14 day trial, no card |

Prices change, and several apps price annual and monthly billing differently, so read each page before you pay.

## Where Marrow fits

Marrow is an app on your phone. A voice note, a card photo, a screenshot or a document becomes a person, with the context and a dated follow up. On request it looks a person up from their public profile, and it can search for people you have not met and build a list you review. It works in English and Arabic. Which plan includes research and lookups is on the [pricing page](/pricing).

It does not sync email or calendar, has no shared workspace, and has no connection to a company CRM. Standard is $12 per month or $120 per year (save $24 a year). Free for 30 days, no card.

If you only need a list, a spreadsheet may be enough: see the [guide to a personal CRM in a spreadsheet](/guides/building-a-personal-crm-in-a-spreadsheet).

## Choose them if

- Choose Dex if you want email, calendar and messaging in one record.
- Choose Mesh if you want a free plan that shows job changes and imports from email and calendar.
- Choose Covve if scanning cards and QR codes, offline, is the job, with badge scanning on Pro.
- Choose folk if you want "Pipeline management", enrichment and AI assistants in one CRM, priced per member.
- Choose Monica if you want open source or to host it yourself. Its web application works on a phone today, and native apps come after v3.
- Choose Orvo if you want meeting preparation from your inbox and calendar, or a tier for groups.

## Choose Marrow if

- You capture people on the move, by voice note, card photo or screenshot, and want each filed with a dated follow up.
- You want lookups and research that you ask for, on a list you review.
- You work in Arabic or English.
