# A screenshot becomes a filed person

Yes. Screenshot a chat or an email thread and send it to Marrow: it files the people in it, logs the thread once and turns a dated promise into a follow up. The thread may come from a chat app or from email; Marrow connects to none of them, it reads the picture.

## Everyone in the thread, filed

The sender and everyone on To and Cc are described from the thread and signature, then filed.

Each person, with role and company from the signature.
The thread, logged once with its date.
A newsletter saves nobody.

## A promise becomes a follow up

A dated promise in the thread, or a meeting on a future day, becomes a follow up on that day.

## A profile link is read at once

A profile link in a screenshot or signature is read straight away when you add one person or a few.

It counts as one lookup.
Switch it off in Settings.

## What happens to the screenshot

A cleaned copy is kept for 30 days, then deleted. Marrow sends no messages and is in Beta.

Cleaned of location and camera data.
No mailbox is read.
Counts against your plan’s photos.
