# What is a personal CRM?

A personal CRM is a private record of your own relationships: the people you have met, what you discussed and the follow ups you owe. It belongs to you rather than an employer, and it is organised around people rather than deals.

## What it holds

The person and how you met, what they are working on, what each of you promised and when you last spoke.

## An example

Leila Shamoun of Atlas Thread had the booth beside yours at the fashion trade show. Your entry reads: planning a capsule collection, asked for a fabric supplier's name, promised by Thursday.

## The test of any system

Capture. Any system stops working when recording takes longer than the moment allows, so test whether you can update it on the phone in your hand.

## In Marrow

Marrow, in Beta, is a personal CRM app on iPhone and Android that you talk to by voice note, card photo or typed line.
