What is a keep in touch cadence?
A keep in touch cadence is a planned interval at which you contact people in your network, set by how close the relationship is. It works when the interval prompts a real reason to write, not a generic check in.
One working set of tiers
Close contacts every month or so, the active network every quarter, dormant relationships once or twice a year. These are working assumptions, not rules.
An interval is not a reason
The interval flags the drift. The message needs a reason: their news, an article they would use, an introduction, or an answer you owe.
An example
Hana Petrosyan of Quarry Lane Architects sits in your quarterly tier. When the quarter comes round, you skip the check in and send her a tender notice for a civic library, because she talked about public buildings at the biennale.
