Terms
These are the terms between you and usemarrow.com for the use of Marrow through the phone app and through Telegram. They cover the trial and the subscription, what you may store, the licence you grant us to run the service, and the limits of our liability.
Effective date: 10 October 2026. These are the terms between you and usemarrow.com (the operator, “we”) for the use of Marrow, the relationship memory service you reach through the Marrow app on your phone and through the Telegram bot. By creating an account, whether by signing in to the app or by starting the bot, you agree to them. Please read them together with the Privacy page, which is part of this agreement.
Eligibility
You must be 18 or older and able to enter a contract. If you use Marrow for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it to these terms.
Your account
One account per person, tied to your email address, to your Telegram account, or to both once you have linked them. You are responsible for what is done with it and for keeping your email account, your phone and your Telegram account secure. If you believe someone else has used your account, tell us at once at hello@usemarrow.com. You may not sell, transfer or share an account.
The trial and the subscription
Marrow is in Beta. Every account starts with one free trial of 30 days from the day the account is created. No card is taken and nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends, reading your record, the app and export keep working, and saving new things pauses until a subscription is active. If you use Marrow on Telegram, we remind you there before the trial ends; in the app, the trial end shows in the chat when it happens.
The subscription price is set by us, is published on our website, and may be changed by us from time to time. It is billed in advance for each monthly or annual period and includes tax where tax applies. A price change applies to an existing subscription only from the next billing period that starts at least 30 days after the new price is published on our website, and you may cancel before it takes effect.
Payments are taken by a third party payment provider that acts as merchant of record and is shown at checkout. They, and not we, are the seller of record for your subscription: they take the payment, calculate and remit any sales tax or VAT, issue the invoice and appear on your bank statement. Your use of their checkout is also subject to their own terms. We never receive your card number. Subscriptions are bought on the web: on the checkout page of our website, after you confirm your email address with a code we send to it, or through the checkout the Telegram bot opens with /upgrade. The subscription applies to the Marrow account of that email address or that Telegram account. Nothing is sold inside the phone app.
You may cancel at any time with /billing on Telegram, from the web view, or by writing to us. Cancelling stops the next charge and the subscription runs to the end of the period already paid. Deleting your account cancels every subscription it holds, personal or team, at the payment provider, so nothing more is charged; the deletion itself refunds nothing, and the refund terms below apply as to any cancellation.
Refunds, to the extent permitted by applicable law. A monthly subscription can be cancelled at any time and we do not refund part of a month already paid. An annual subscription is refunded in full within 14 days of purchase, by writing to hello@usemarrow.com; after those 14 days an annual subscription is not refundable, and cancelling stops the next renewal instead.
Changing plan. Moving to a larger plan takes effect at once and you pay the difference for the rest of the period. Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
Teams
A Teams subscription is bought by one person, the buyer, for a number of seats, and is priced per seat. It needs at least the minimum number of seats shown at checkout, and the buyer holds one of them. The buyer pays for every seat, used or not, and the terms above on billing, cancellation and refunds apply to the buyer as to any subscription.
Every other seat is an invite link. A link works once, for one person, while the subscription is active. The person who uses it, a member, takes the seat with a Marrow account of their own, under these terms. A member’s account and everything saved in it belong to the member: neither the buyer nor any other member can see it, and nothing is shared between members. The buyer sees each member’s email address on the team page, and nothing else of the member’s.
The buyer may add seats, remove unused seats down to the minimum, remove a member, and replace a link that has not been used. A change to the number of seats takes effect at once: the payment provider credits the unused part of the current period and charges for the new number of seats, and the receipt shows the amounts.
When a member is removed, or the subscription stops giving access (it is on hold, or it has ended after a cancellation), the member’s account goes back to its own trial, or to read only if that trial is over, and what the member saved stays theirs. If the subscription becomes active again, the members on it get their seats back. An account that pays for a subscription of its own cannot take a seat until that subscription is cancelled.
If the buyer deletes their account, the team’s subscription is cancelled at the payment provider and nothing more is billed for it. Every member keeps their own account and goes back to their own plan state, their trial or a subscription of their own, and the team page and its invite links stop working. A member who deletes their account frees their seat, and while the subscription is active the buyer’s team page gets a fresh invite link for it.
Acceptable use
Marrow is for keeping your own notes about your own working relationships. You agree to use it lawfully and to respect the people whose details you store: keep only what you have a legitimate reason to keep, use it only for the relationship you have with them, correct or delete it when they ask you to, and never store anything about a person that they have asked you not to keep.
If you share a list with its share link, anyone who has the link can see the names, roles, companies and profile links on it until you stop sharing; share only what you may share. You may not use Marrow to store or send unlawful, defamatory or abusive content, to harass anyone, to build lists for unsolicited marketing, to probe or overload the service, to reverse engineer it, or to resell it. Lookups of people run only on your request or, unless you switch it off, on a profile link you yourself give Marrow with one person or a few, and a company lookup also runs when you ask about a company or for a brief before a meeting; both draw on public sources, and you agree not to use them to build a database of people you have no relationship with.
Automation and abuse
Accounts are for one human user. You may not use bots, scripts, scrapers or other automated means to send messages, run lookups or searches, extract data, or otherwise use the service in volumes or patterns beyond normal individual use, and you may not share or resell access. We may monitor usage patterns to detect this. We may throttle, suspend or close an account we reasonably believe is doing so, without refund where these terms were breached, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
What you tell us you may share
You warrant that you have the right to send us everything you send, including information and images of other people and the contacts you import from your phone, and that you are using Marrow for your own professional relationships. If you are asked to stop holding information about someone, you will act on it in your own record.
The licence you grant us
So that we can run Marrow for you, you grant us a worldwide, non exclusive, royalty free, sublicensable licence (sublicensable only to the service providers described on the Privacy page, acting on our instructions) to host, store, copy, transmit, process, analyse, transform, enrich and display the content you send us, together with the information we obtain about the people and companies in your account.
That licence is limited to what it is for: operating, securing, supporting and improving the service for you, and meeting our legal obligations. It lasts for as long as your account exists plus the backup retention period described on the Privacy page, and it survives the end of your account only so far as we must keep something to meet a legal obligation. It does not let us sell your content, publish it, or make it available to anyone for their own purposes. You keep all ownership of your content.
Public information
Marrow may collect, store and display to you publicly available information, in any form including media, about the people and the companies you ask about, and may combine it with your own record. This happens when you ask for a lookup or give Marrow a profile link for someone you add, and for a company also when you ask what you know about it, who you know there, or for a brief before a meeting with someone there. Public information can be out of date, incomplete or about the wrong person; see the disclaimer below. Tell us at hello@usemarrow.com if something about you appears in a Marrow record and you want it removed, and we will pass the request on to the account holder and act where we are required to.
Your data and our access
Your record is yours. You can delete it at any time, and export it from the app’s Settings, from Telegram or the web view, or by writing to us. We do not read it in the course of normal operation and we do not sell it, share it for anyone else’s purposes, or use it to train a model; the Privacy page says what is collected and who processes it. To find and fix faults, we review a sample of conversations with personal details replaced by placeholders, you can turn this off at any time in /settings on Telegram or in the web view’s Settings, or, if you use the app alone, by writing to hello@usemarrow.com.
Changes to the service
We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may change these terms. Material changes take effect at least 14 days after they are published on this page or the Privacy page, with the new effective date at the top. If a change materially reduces what you paid for, you may cancel and ask for a refund of the unused part of a period already paid. If you do not agree with a change you may delete your account before it takes effect; using Marrow after that date means you accept the new terms.
Suspension and termination
You may stop at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, harms the service or other users, or has not paid; where reasonable we write to you first and give you time to export your record. On closure your data is deleted as the Privacy page describes.
Intellectual property
Marrow, its software, its texts and its design belong to the operator or its licensors. These terms give you a personal, non transferable right to use the service while your account is active, and nothing more. Your content stays yours. The app is licensed to you, not sold; the App Store and Google Play terms that apply to apps you install from them also apply to your copy.
Disclaimer of warranties
Marrow is provided as it is and as available. It reads your messages with a language model, and a model can misread a name, a date or a promise: check what it saves, as you would check a note taken by an assistant. Information gathered from public sources is provided as found: we do not verify it, we do not warrant that it is accurate, current, complete or about the person you meant, and you should not rely on it for any decision without checking it yourself. We do not promise uninterrupted or error free service, that the record is complete, or that any lookup finds the right subject. We exclude all implied warranties to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for all claims arising from the service is limited, in aggregate, to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, lost opportunity or lost data. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
Indemnity
If a third party brings a claim against us because of the content you sent to Marrow, the information you asked us to gather, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover the reasonable costs, damages and legal fees that result, provided we tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in defending it.
Disputes
Before either side goes to court, we each agree to try to settle the matter by writing to the other and allowing 30 days for a reply.
