Marrow looks someone up when you ask, not before

Marrow reads a person's public profile when you ask, fills the fields that are still empty, and asks you which profile it is when it is not sure. Dex and Mesh update contacts on their own; folk enriches when you choose it.

Marrow enriches a person by reading their public profile. It does that on request, and Marrow is in Beta. This post says what a lookup does, and where other apps do more on their own.

What a Marrow lookup does

After a card is saved, Marrow’s reply offers to enrich the person from their public profile. You can also tap Enrich on a person’s screen, or ask in the chat.

  • It reads the headline, role, company, place, latest posts and photo.
  • It fills the fields that are still empty.
  • When unsure which profile is the person, it lists the likely ones for you to review.
  • It is a snapshot, counted as one lookup.
The Profiles to review screen with 2 to review: Ottilie Brandt, tagged Clear match, with Head of Commercial Operations at Harbourlight Freight, a Profile link, and Yes and No buttons; Selin Aydemir with Partnerships Lead at Corvane Pay in Istanbul, a Profile link, Yes and No buttons and Other profiles (1); Leila Shamoun, with No public profile found for her at Atlas Thread and the buttons Search again and Dismiss; and, at the foot, the button Accept all clear matches (1)

If none fits, tap No. Where Marrow finds nobody, Search again tries another way, three searches in all, each counted. Marrow does not watch your contacts for job changes, and a lookup does not find email addresses or phone numbers. A profile link you hand Marrow is read straight away.

What the others say on their own pages

Read on 15 October 2026.

App What its own pages say
Dex The profile sync keeps your connections updated and, each run, sets the job title to the connection’s current headline, replacing any title you typed yourself. Once connected it runs on its own1
Mesh Mesh refreshes profile data automatically, on average every few months2. Its free Personal plan lists life updates such as job changes and news mentions3. Whether you confirm a match before data is added is not stated on that page as of 15 October 20264
folk One click enrichment runs when you choose it and finds email, phone number, company name, job title and contact links. Its help page says enriched data “will be added, even if the field already has data” and that the new data “will not replace the existing data”5
Covve The home page offers an “AI research assistant to enrich leads”; how it is triggered is not stated there6. The Essential plan lists “Instant bios on leads”7

Choose them if

  • You want contacts kept current without asking. Dex’s sync runs on its own once connected1, and Mesh surfaces job changes on a free plan3. Marrow does not watch for changes.
  • You need email addresses and phone numbers. folk’s enrichment finds both5. Marrow looks for neither.
  • You want a free plan to start. Mesh lists a Personal plan as “Free”3. Marrow is free for 30 days, then paid.

Choose Marrow if

  • You want a lookup to be your decision, one person at a time, and counted. Marrow looks someone up when you ask or reads a profile link you give it. It does not look up everyone you save.
  • You want a lookup that fills only the fields that are still empty. folk’s help page also says new data “will not replace the existing data”5; Dex’s sync replaces a title you typed1.
  • You want Marrow to show the candidates and ask when it is not sure which profile is the person.

Install the app, sign in with your email, and send it the last business card you are still carrying. Marrow is in Beta.
